What makes Ama Yangri worth the journey
Ama Yangri is the guardian deity of the Hyolmo people, and its prayer-flag summit is one of the most rewarding short climbs in Nepal. From the village of Tarkeghyang the ascent takes three to four hours, opening onto a panorama that runs from Langtang Lirung across Dorje Lakpa to the Jugal Himal. It works as a standalone weekend trip or as acclimatisation before something bigger.
