The journey
Overview
Bardiya is roughly the size of Chitwan but receives a fraction of the visitors, and the tiger density is higher. Days are spent on full-length jeep safaris, quiet walks with armed park naturalists, and float trips down the Karnali River where Gangetic dolphins and mugger crocodiles surface. Evenings are Tharu village life, not tourist strips.
